Once you have a good idea of what to include, it is time to start writing or updating your resume.

If you have been out of the workforce for a while, think about any unpaid work, volunteering or parenting roles as these can also be relevant. You can also look back at any old resumes or job applications to jog your memory on what you have done in the past.
